First message to a Thai woman: three simple examples

A first message can be simple: say who you are, explain why you are writing and ask one clear question. These are ways to make a message easier to understand, not a formula that guarantees an answer. Whether someone replies is her choice.
Three invented examples
These examples are invented. Adapt them to something true about you and the person you are writing to.

Use the name she chooses on her profile. Do not pretend to remember an encounter that did not happen or claim an interest she has not mentioned.
Keep the meaning clear
One question gives the other person a clear place to start. A short sentence can be easier to follow than several questions mixed with jokes, abbreviations and travel plans. Short messages can still be mistranslated, so check important details instead of assuming the translation is exact.

Choose a considerate time
There is no single best hour for every person. Work, sleep and other commitments vary. If she has told you when she is available, use that information. Otherwise, send one message and let her answer when she wants to.

From a profile to your first hello

If she does not answer
An unanswered message does not tell you whether someone is busy, unavailable or uninterested. Avoid sending a series of new openers or demanding an explanation. If she asks you to stop, stop.
If she replies, respond to what she actually said. Share something about yourself as well as asking about her, and ask for clarification when a translation is unclear. A conversation has room for both people to choose how it continues.
