LINE Thai-to-English translation: options and setup

For an existing LINE conversation, start with LINE on Windows or Mac, or a translator app beside your phone chat. For women you meet on Up To You Ka, translation is built into the conversation. These are different routes: this site does not import arbitrary existing LINE contacts.

Translate an existing LINE message on a computer
LINE's current help for Windows and Mac documents these steps:
- Open the chat and right-click a message.
- Choose Translate and select the source and target languages.
- Run the translation. Use the copy control if you need the result elsewhere.
The documented languages include Thai and English. This is a desktop workflow; do not assume the same menu exists on your phone. Translator accounts and third-party bots may have different availability and access to messages. Check their current provider instructions before inviting one into a conversation.
Translate on your phone
For occasional messages, copying Thai into your translation app and translating your answer back can be enough. Check that the source and target languages are the right way round before sending. Do not treat the output as proof of someone's meaning.
On Android, Google's Tap to Translate instructions describe enabling the feature in Translate settings, copying text in another app, and using the translation control to choose a language. It works with text, not images. Controls can differ by device and Android version.
For an iPhone, use the translation app's current text-entry workflow. The Android floating control is not an iPhone instruction. Avoid copying sensitive details into a third-party service unless you are comfortable sharing them with that service.
Make the translation easier to check
Use short sentences, spell out dates, and ask about one uncertain phrase at a time. Slang, omitted subjects, names and sarcasm can cause mistakes in either direction. There is no universal rule that one direction always translates better. See the Thai translation guide for more context.
Voice messages can add warmth, but noise and unclear speech may reduce transcription accuracy. Confirm important arrangements in writing.
Worked example: confirm the missing details
Suppose a message says “เจอกันพรุ่งนี้” (roughly, “See you tomorrow”). This is an illustrative example, not a captured Google or LINE translation result. It gives a day, but no meeting time or place. A fluent translation cannot supply those missing details.
Reply with one concrete question, such as “What time tomorrow, in Thai time?” Then confirm the date and meeting place in a separate message. For a call, use the Thailand time converter and the video call guide. Copying the translation back into another tool can reveal a problem, but a matching back-translation does not prove the meaning is right.
How translation works here
On Up To You Ka you write in your own language to a woman who has joined the platform. She reads Thai on LINE or in her own app; her reply is translated back. In Account, you can show the Thai she wrote under her replies and turn on pronunciation text. Translation can still be wrong. Ask for clarification instead of reacting to a guess.
