Is she a real person?

Yes. Every woman here works in a real bar in Pattaya or Bangkok, and the name you see is the nickname she actually uses there. She joined because she chose to and she can leave whenever she likes. On public pages her photo is blurred until you sign in. A woman with no photo yet has a drawn character on her card instead, and that drawing is the only manufactured thing on it.

Does she know the messages are translated?

Yes. She reads your message in Thai on her own phone and writes back in Thai. Nothing is hidden from her side and nothing pretends to be her words when it is not. The translation runs on ThaiPo, and the pass is ThaiPo Pro.

Do I need to speak Thai?

No. Write English the way you would say it out loud. It reaches her in natural Thai rather than phrasebook Thai, and her answer comes back to you in English a few seconds later.

Does she have to install anything?

No. Your message reaches her on her phone, on LINE or in her own app, whichever she already uses. That is deliberate: an app she has to download and remember to open is an app she will not open.

What does it cost?

You get 6 free messages to start, and every morning at 9am Thai time you are topped back up to 3. They are free every day, not just on the first day, and you never need a card to send them. You can start 3 new conversations a day. Messages to someone you have already written to do not need a new one. A lady drink, from ฿200, adds messages as well, and anything you buy here lets you message any woman on the app. A pass is ThaiPo Pro, and it works in every conversation you have here rather than per person. What it gives you: unlimited messages to every lady here; see when she has read your message; ladies see you first when they look for someone to message; marked Pro in her inbox, and back at the top after a day if she goes quiet; 10 seconds to take a message back before it reaches her. It does not buy her reply. You buy it once, the pass never renews on its own and no card is kept for it. Buying her a drink is separate and only when you want to.

Can I read her replies without paying?

Always, and this will never change. Her replies do not use up your free messages and they are not behind the wall, so when she writes back you can write back. Every word she sends stays readable whether you have a pass or not. Charging to unlock words a woman has already written is the oldest trick in the category and we will not run it. The wall stops you writing, never her.

How quickly does she reply?

It varies, and honestly it has to. She is at work, and a busy night means a slow reply. Some answer within minutes, some the next morning, and some do not answer at all. Cards show a speed badge only when there is enough history to be fair about it.

Is this a dating app?

No. There is no swiping, no matching, no compatibility score and no profile to fill in. It is a messenger: one person, one conversation, and nobody else in the room.

Is this an escort service?

No, and it is the one thing we are least relaxed about. Nobody here is for sale, we do not arrange, book or broker anything, and there is no fee for meeting anyone because there is no meeting to charge for. Using it to solicit or arrange paid sex loses you the account without a refund. The full rules are under Safety, and we act on reports from her side.

How is it different from a bar's live stream?

A stream is a camera pointed at a room, with a few hundred men typing into the same chat and hoping to be noticed. Nobody watching is having a conversation. Here she knows your name, she remembers what you told her last week, and when you buy her a drink she knows exactly who sent it.

What happens when I buy her a lady drink?

A real soft drink goes on her bar's till and she earns her usual commission on it, exactly as if you were standing next to her when you bought it. Alcohol cannot legally be sold online in Thailand, so it is always a soft one. She hears about it straight away and her thank-you arrives in your chat. You do not have to be in the country. Every drink also adds messages to your account.

Can I ask her to video call?

Yes, when she marks herself free for one: her profile says so and you can ring her phone. Two drinks at her bar are held on your card when it rings, and charged only once you have been talking for a minute. If she does not answer, the hold is released and nothing is charged. A call you ring is translated while you speak and runs 10 minutes, and two more drinks buy another 10. She can also send you a call invitation herself. Joining it costs nothing and it is a plain video call; two drinks turn on translation for both of you for 10 minutes, and two more keep it on for another 10.

Can I book a time to call?

No, there is no booking. A call happens when she is free for one: she switches it on, and while it is on you can ring her. If she is not free now, write to her and ask when she will be.

Can I meet her?

She works at a bar, and where that bar is becomes visible once you have signed in. Anything beyond that is a conversation between the two of you. We are a messenger and we do not arrange, book or broker anything.

What if she stops replying?

That is her right and it costs you nothing. You are not charged per message, so an unanswered conversation does not run up a bill. Saying hello to somebody else starts a new conversation, and the free lane allows 3 a day. Buy anything here, a lady drink, a pass or something from a bar's Shop, and you can message anyone, and carrying on with anyone you have already written to never needs one.

Can she remove herself?

At any time, for any reason or none. She tells the management at her bar, or uses the contact page. Either way she is taken out of the service and stays out, including if her details later turn up again in a routine sync. It does not have to be her who asks, either: a partner or a family member can use the contact page and a person reads it. The whole of it is under Safety.

Why is it called Up To You Ka?

"Up to you" is the most-heard sentence in Pattaya, and "ka" is the polite particle a Thai woman ends a sentence with. Put together it is roughly "whatever you like, love", said with a shrug. It seemed a fair name for a service that decides nothing for you.

Who can see my messages?

You, her, and her bar's management, who can read conversations with the women who work there. We read one only when she reports it or to keep the service safe. What is stored, for how long, and how to have it deleted is set out in full in the privacy policy, including the translation step.
