You write in English. She reads Thai. She writes in Thai. You read English. It takes a few seconds each way and neither of you has to think about the bit in the middle.

The short version. Pick someone, send a message in your own language, and read her answer in your own language. She needs nothing installed and she does not need to speak a word of English. You get 6 free messages to start, and 3 more every morning at 9am Thai time. They are free every day, not just on the first day, and you never need a card to send them. You can start 3 new conversations a day. Messages to someone you have already written to do not need a new one.

1. Pick someone

Almost every woman here works in a real Pattaya bar, a few are independent and say so on their card, and all of them joined because they chose to. The name on her card is the nickname she actually uses at work, not an invented one. Her card leads with a drawn character rather than a photograph, and that drawing is the one part of her card that is manufactured. Some women also add real photographs of themselves, and you will see those once you have signed in.

Some women reply within minutes and some are working and will get to it later. Where there is enough history to be fair about it, her card says so. Where there is not, it stays quiet rather than guessing, because a wrong label on a card is something she has to work off and cannot.

2. Write in English

Say it the way you would say it out loud. Do not simplify it, do not write in the broken English people fall into when they think it helps, and do not paste in a phrasebook line. It arrives as natural Thai, and the more natural your English is, the more natural her side reads.

She gets it on LINE, which she already has and already uses. There is nothing for her to download, no account for her to make and no app for her to remember to open, which matters more than it sounds: an app she has to be persuaded to install is an app she will not answer on.

3. Read her reply

She writes back in Thai, from her own phone, in her own words. It reaches you in English a few seconds later. Nothing is written on her behalf and nothing is put in her mouth. When you are reading her reply, you are reading her.

Buying her a lady drink

You can put a real soft drink on her bar's till from anywhere in the world. It costs ฿200, and she earns her usual commission on it exactly as she would if you were standing next to her when you bought it. Alcohol cannot legally be sold online in Thailand, so it is always a soft one, and the bars are held to that. She hears about it straight away and her thank-you lands in your chat.

This is the part that has no equivalent anywhere else. A message is a message, but a lady drink is money in her pocket on a slow night, from someone who is not in the country.

Video calls

Once you have been talking a while you can ask her to call. She starts it from her side, which is deliberate: it means a call only ever happens because she wanted it to. It is live, face to face, and still translated while you speak.

What it costs

You get 6 free messages to start, and 3 more every morning at 9am Thai time. They are free every day, not just on the first day, and you never need a card to send them. You can start 3 new conversations a day. Messages to someone you have already written to do not need a new one. Her replies do not count against them, so when she writes back you can write back. Every word she sends stays readable forever whether you have a pass or not. Charging to unlock words a woman has already written is a mechanic we will not run. See what it costs for the numbers.

What this is not

It is not a dating app. There is no swiping, no matching and no profile to fill in. It is not a live stream either, which is what most of the bars run now: a camera pointed at a room, a few hundred men typing into one chat, and nobody in it having a conversation. Here it is one person, one conversation, and nobody else in the room.

We are a messenger. We do not arrange, book or broker anything, and what you and she talk about is between the two of you.
